The Repatriated Western Armenian’s Formula for Saving Western Armenian

Years ago, the seven-year-old daughter of Nairi, who had repatriated from Syria, urged her mother to create an entertainment and educational website for herself and other Western Armenian children. Today, thanks to the project’s YouTube channel with over 1,100 followers, Nairi has begun to generate income. Thus, the “Haykashkharh” (Armenian World) project, which encompasses a grand objective, originated from a child’s wish. Among our compatriots who have settled in the Homeland, there are individuals who attempt to serve as a bridge to their former communities in the Diaspora. Day by day, this connection evolves into serious initiatives and projects that also incorporate functions for the preservation of Armenian identity. One such individual is Nairi Mkrtichyan, who repatriated in the early 2000s. What do we know about her? What projects is she implementing? How does she continue to participate in the development of Homeland-Diaspora relations? What challenges does she perceive in this field? What are the formulas for solving these issues? We attempted to provide answers to the questions raised on the topic of “The Repatriated Western Armenian’s Formula for Saving Western Armenian” during the 174th episode of the “HAMASPYURK” program.
